2021 was an exciting year for public transport in the City of Paks. At the beginning of the year, our company launched free promotional bus services, and then we started our local scheduled public passenger transport activities according to a timetable that has been developed jointly with experts and representatives of local public. During the year, the residents of Paks had the opportunity to get to know and hopefully like our fully electric vehicle fleet.

During this year, the reconstruction of Szentháromság tér has been brought to completion. While reconstruction works were in progress, our bus services ran on diverted routes. The construction of our company’s complex site has started on the order of the Municipality of the City of Paks, with an office building, a service hall and a bus wash station located on the site. As a project already complete in 2020, a recharging park is situated next to the building complex.

In 2021, our electric buses covered a total of more than 484,000 kms on the roads of Paks. With a diesel-powered vehicle fleet, the same mileage would involve appr. 850 tons of CO2 emission. As Paksi Közlekedési Kft. operates battery-powered electric buses only, our transport services have minimal emissions. Moreover, as electricity is cheaper than crude oil-based fuel, public transport in Paks is not only more environmentally friendly and convenient, but also more economical than traditional fuelling solutions when calculated on a unit price basis.
